LASOS Lasertechnik GmbH is a medium-sized company for the development and manufacture of lasers, laser devices and optical systems and is one of the world's leading suppliers of gas and solid-state lasers in the medium energy range with wavelengths between 300nm and 1,500nm. Our customers include companies in biomedicine, bioanalytics, laser material processing and metrology. LASOS Lasertechnik GmbH currently employs around 120 people.

Team Lead R&D (m/f/d)

Your tasks:

• Technical management of an interdisciplinary team (2 - 4 employees) in the field of laser physics, laser and optotechnologies and their automation
• Design and management of projects on diode-pumped solid-state lasers, laser diode modules and systems for the life sciences
• Development and investigation of suitable assembly and automation processes with regard to stability, manufacturability and costs
• Transferring the developed products and assembly processes to series production in close cooperation with the production, design and electronics departments

Your qualification:

• Several years of professional experience or completed doctorate in the field of laser physics or related fields
• Completed university degree in physics, laser physics, laser and optotechnologies or comparable qualification
• Strong knowledge of optical design and measurement
• Experience in technical leadership of a team desirable
• Basic knowledge of project management
• Practical experience in the fields of micro-optics/micro-assembly desirable
• Analysis and presentation of project progress and results
• Good communication skills regarding internal employees and customers
• High degree of reliability and commitment
• Independent and persistent working style, high level of creativity and commitment
