Senior Software Developer

SCALE is a key development partner for major automotive OEMs worldwide in the field of simulation data management systems. We stand for innovation, creativity, and premium-quality software solutions. To strengthen our team in Dresden, we are looking for a Senior Backend Developer (m/f/d) in the fast-growing area of process integration and simulation data management as soon as possible.
As a core member of SCALE’s tech team, you will help design, develop, and deliver reliable backend solutions for our SCALE.sdm product suite, collaborating closely with colleagues in Germany, India, and the USA.
Your Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex features into existing software architecture
• Design and implement complex features in existing software architectures, optimize code for efficiency and usability
• Work according to agile development processes
• Translate customer requirements into reusable solutions, participate in code reviews, and apply modern development practices
• Collaborate seamlessly within a multisite, multicultural, and multinational team
• Assist in troubleshooting of development and production-related technical issues

Your Profile

• At least 5 years of professional experience in software application development
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Python, Django, and REST APIs
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, databases, and SQL
• Experience with Angular/JavaScript is a plus
• Familiar with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines
• Passionate about technology and eager to stay up to date with current trends
• Willingness to work regularly on-site in Dresden Strong team player with a proactive mindset

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Master’s degree preferred
